Harley Quinn

Mad Love

„Face it, Harl, this stinks. You’re a certified nutso wanted in twelve states, and you’re hopelessly in love with a psychopathic clown! At what point did my life go Looney Tunes?“

“Don’t you wanna rev up your Harley? Vroom, vroom!

„Sweet dreams, sucker.“

About

Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn first appeared in the Batman: The Animated Series episode „Joker’s Favor“, where she served as a humorous female sidekick to the Joker. Originally she was the therapist of the Joker but fell madly in love with him and helped him to escape the Arkham Asylum. Since then she’s the sidekick of the Joker and helps him with his plans.

I wanted to recreate the „Mad Love“ look since a few years and in 2019 I finally had the time for it! I love Harley Quinn and cosplaying her is so much fun. I’m pretty happy with the result.

About the Project

Costs

This costume hasn’t much fabric so I didn’t had to spent much money (:’D). It costed me around 10.- CHF.

Purchased Items

Everything is selfmade, the only things I had to buy is the decoration stuff.

Harley Quinn Cosplay
Selfmade Items

I already owned the cowl and mask. The nightgown is selfmade and the pop gun is 3d printed.

Materials

I wanted the nightgown to be semitransparent as the original and used chiffon fabric.

Difficulty

There weren’t any difficult parts for me in this project.

Making Of

Nightgown

I’ve cut out the front and back side of the gown and sewed it together. Then I sewed on the elastic on the top so it won’t slide down. For the ruffles I’ve cut a fabric piece into stripes, sewed it together and added it to the gown.

Pop Gun

A friend of me (click here to get to his Instagram account) does 3d printing and printed for me the pop gun of Harley Quinn. My boyfriend helped me with sanding it. For the painting I used acyrlic paint. We bought a sanding block and cutted it until it fitted into the front of the pop gun.
